Girls in Action (GA) is a mission’s
organization for girls. Every girl in grades 1-6 can be a part of
GAs where they learn about, pray for, give to and do mission work.
Throughout the year, they take part in
several mission projects. One of the main ones is the Samaritan’s
Purse Operation Christmas Child that was started by Franklin Graham.
It is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization that
provides spiritual and physical aid to people around the world.
Small gifts and toiletry items are placed in a shoe box that is
covered with Christmas paper. This is often the first Christmas gift
that children in third world countries have ever received. In 2010,
the GAs and Mission Friends made 134 boxes. The younger children in
Mission Friends also participate in this ministry.

GAs also serve at the Lord’s Table
several times a year where they help with bagging groceries for the
less fortunate. The GA'S participate twice a year in FBC Great Day
of Service by delivering gift bags to the shut-ins or doing various
yard work. We also have canned food drives before Thanksgiving to
help replenish the church's food pantry.
