Every season of life has a portion in the church.
Our ministries for adults encourage connection and community for those in similar life stages while also giving opportunities for intergenerational discipleship. Seek out and attend the events and programs offered for your stage of life. Whether you’re married or single, senior or young or young adult, a new parent or an empty nester, there’s a place and people ready to receive you.
SENIOR ADULTS

The Senior Adult Ministry is for those 55 years and older who desire to connect with one another, contribute to the mission of FBCFP, and continue a legacy of faithfulness.
GOLDEN CIRCLE
The Golden Circle is the church’s “experienced adults” (55+). They meet weekly on Tuesdays.
1st, 3rd, and. 5th Tuesdays: 10:30 a.m. for a covered dish luncheon and a program.
Past programs have included informative and inspirational speakers, local historians, professional entertainers with ties to the Church, and musical groups from the community. On 5th Tuesdays the Golden Circle plays Bingo for the program.
2nd Tuesday: Local restaurant for lunch.
4th Tuesday: One-day out-of-town trips.
The Golden Circle loves to travel together. They have toured the Mayfield Ice Cream Factory, The Honda Manufacturing Plant, Barnsley Gardens, and has enjoyed The Cumberland Playhouse. They have been educated at the Antiquities Museum and the Booth Western Museum, inspired at WinShape Retreat, and entertained at an IMAX movie. They also spent an afternoon shopping at The Riverchase Galleria. The group has traveled to the Southern Museum of Flight, the Golden Flake Factory, The George Washington Museum, the Mercedes Manufacturing Plant and the new outlet centers in Leeds. Every trip includes eating out a special or unique restaurant.
NEW BEGINNINGS
New Beginnings is a support ministry for individuals who have lost their spouse to death. They meet every other month on the first Tuesday of the month after Golden Circle (12:15 p.m.). Meetings are approximately an hour long. Speakers at each meeting address a particular need common to life as a widow or widower. New Beginnings has hosted experts in the insurance industry, lawyers, electricians, mechanics, attorneys, accountants, plumbers, electricians, handymen and physicians. As helpful as these experts have been, the members of the group gain just as much by talking with others who are in the same situation and in many cases have solutions that we haven’t yet considered.
The New Beginnings group also works on projects, which have included a baby ministry where they provided layettes through a variety of sources and also a ministry to senior adults who are in nursing homes, assisted living facilities or who are shut ins.
MEN’S MINISTRY

FBC Men’s Ministry desires to redeem manhood by engaging men to know, follow, and be transformed by Jesus.
When FBC Men worship together, serve together, or meet in groups together, it is for three purposes:
Engaging Men with the Gospel
Men find their purpose through the gospel of Jesus. We see manhood redeemed as men who know Jesus and who are learning to walk as Jesus did.
Connecting Men in Community
Every man needs someone who they can learn from. Every man needs to model Christ for another too. We recognize that men grow best when they grow together.
Reactivating Men to Truly Live
Manhood can be incredible. So, we celebrate and enrich our lives with friendship, competition, and worshipping and serving together, all for the purpose of learning how to lead flourishing lives.
FBC Men routinely participate in mission of Jesus by serving the church and community through building projects, yard work, and repairs. Email us, if you would like to know more information. about how to be involved with FBC’s Men’s Ministry
WOMEN’S MINISTRY

First Baptist Church believes that women are a crucial part of the body of Christ. They have unique strengths and gifts that play a significant role in discipleship, service, and mission. FBC Women’s Ministry exists to inspire, equip, support, and disciple women to live in God’s purpose.
Our desire is to encourage every woman in her journey, to create a community of friendships, to provide meaningful opportunities for discipleship, and to cultivate a passion for Jesus’ mission for His church.

- The CW Wednesday Night Group meets weekly at 6 p.m. in room 318
- The CW also meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in a member’s home to have a devotional, share a meal, and to pray. The CW also occasionally meets to send encouraging cards, participate in a craft, or have dinner at a local restaurant.
Women of Joy Conference
Yearly, FBC Women travel together for a weekend to deepen their walk with God, to get away from everyday distractions, and to build stronger relationships with one another.
The Women of Joy Conference brings together the best in Christian music artists and speakers. Bible scholars with incomparable wisdom will teach and show everyone how the Word of God applies to everyday lives. Women are encouraged to also prepare their hearts for laughter as they listen, for fun as they are refreshed, and for loads of memories amidst sisters in Christ who are doing life every day just like them.
