Our mission is to reach students so that they will be increasingly transformed by the gospel of Jesus, devoted to the community of Jesus, and committed to the mission of Jesus.

OUR STRATEGY

OUR CONVICTIONS

We believe that apart from Christ, we can do nothing, and that prayer is essential for bearing eternal fruit. (John 15:4-5)

We believe that all Scripture points to Jesus, and that the Bible is the ultimate authority for doctrine and practice. (John 5:39, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe that parents are the primary disciple-maker of their students and that we partner by exhorting, encouraging, and equipping them for this task. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, Philippians 1:3-5)

We believe that every student needs and deserves a Christ-following adult to love, mentor, and disciple them. (1 Thessalonians 2:8, Philippians 2:20-22)

We believe that youth ministry is for adolescence, but the church is for eternity, so students must be integrated into the life of the whole church body. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)

We believe that Jesus calls all of his followers to make disciples and love neighbor, and that this includes students. (Matthew 28:19-20)

COMMON QUESTIONS

Our student ministry is for middle and high schoolers, grades 6 through 12.

We gather Sunday mornings at 10:15 for Sunday Equip and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 for Mid-Week.

Sunday Equip: On Sunday mornings, we go through shorter teaching series. We alternate between topical series that address a certain area of interest or equipping for students and book studies where we study through a book of the Bible to learn how it applies to our lives.

Mid-Week: On Wednesday evenings, we gather for a brief time of fellowship or a game before entering into a time of worship, prayer, and Bible teaching. Each time we gather, we take a passage of Scripture and see how it fits into the whole story of the Bible, what practical application there is for our lives, and how the passage points us to Jesus.

D-Groups: Once a month on Wednesday evenings, students gather within their age- and gender-specific groups for a time of relational discipleship with their adult leaders.

We have several other big events throughout the year that usually include a winter ski trip, a summer missions camp, and a fall solitude retreat. We also have some smaller events throughout the year where we gather to just have fun with one another!

We have a team of volunteer adult leaders that we refer to as Adult Disciple-Makers or ADMs. Our leaders are active members who have been trained and carefully screened (including a background check), and agree to adhere to our church’s child protection policy.
